discovering the imprisonment in new york hotels.. i had forgotten how misleading advertising dimensions could be when it came to hotel room square footage.. which seems to shrink by a few hundred square feet from the picture to the real thing. at least the window was big enough to trick me from feeling like a zoo animal to realizing that it was time to wake up and head to soho. speaking of; the current topshop collection? perfection.. only wished i could have picked up a few more pieces. oh, and the w store upon returning to the hotel? intensely captivating.. i spotted a pair of elizabeth and james pony hair platforms i'm not sure i will ever forget for as long as i live. oh, what its like to be eaten away with desire..

thanks to the recommendation to try brunch at sarahbeths months ago.. finally made it around to breakfast this time in the city on sunday and it was beyond worth it. salmon and eggs benedict on a homemade english muffin with homemade hollandaise and a side of arugula? not to mention parisian dark chocolate macaroons and a latte for afterwards.. to DIE for. spent the rest of the day wandering the shoe floor of saks, visiting the warhols in the met, sampling cupcakes on the street corner, drinking red wine, and wandering the aisle of whole foods.. which has left me wishing for such pastimes everyday of my life..

running around times square at 2 am in the remnants of fashion's night out. this city is so glorious in the aftermath of beautifully dressed fashionistas.. sigh that i missed the event; but thats another story.. for now, let me just say that the confused construction worker who immediately told me there was a casting call in the agency next door upon seeing me pose for these pictures made everything worth it. i love naive men..
