so this is definitely by far the coolest thing i've ever done. it was reallyyyy time consuming but (SO) worth it. and it wasnt hard either
how-to: i bent a bobby pin back so i had a sharp edge, but you can use a seam ripper or whatever is convienient. i started by cutting a hole about 3 inches wide parallel to the bottom of the jeans so like horizontal (NOT VERTICAL) and then i simply started pulling out the threads and made it larger until the desired hole size. as i went along i cut the vertical threads so it was less tangly and easier to manage. then at the end i studded them with (GET THIS) a bedazzler. thats like one of those machines little kids use when they're 5 years old to jewel their jean jackets. but ive gotten a MILLION compliments so far and even offers from people so they could give me a pair for me to do and sell them back. ridiculous, right? so obviously they're popular. and now you dont have to worry about finding the perfect jeans, because you can just make them!
check out childhood flames for tutorial.
(camille) has some wicked cool DIY.
enjoyy!
